Apr 08, 2012 Welcome to the CentOS fora. Please see the recommended reading for new users linked in my signature. 'User Comments' is not an appropriate place for a CentOS-5 question. How can I setup a SOCKS4 or 5 proxy on CentOS 5.8? (For example how to use ssh to act as a SOCKS server, or use OpenVPN). Beside guiding you through configuring Firefox to use SOCKS for everything. Is it possible to install Firefox on Ubuntu with no desktop enviroment?
Installing Dante from Source on UbuntuI was having problems with dante authentication therefore I am trying to install from source based on what this user has said:I performed./configure, make, and make install. My log from installation is.I don't know where to go from here to start the service. I've tried '/etc/init.d/danted start' which is not working/missing. What step am I missing? In my bin folder now are the following: Makefile Makefile.am Makefile.in socksify socksify.inThis is my first time trying to install something not using apt-get.
Please any advice would be appreciated. I assume I need to move files to a different directory and create a startup? But I'm not sure how to do this step by step.
